Two hundred years have passed since the Witches were driven from Talis. Two hundred years of bitterness and exile, but at last their time has come.
Leonora has been training for this moment all her life, desperate to prove herself worthy. Magic and vengeance flow through her veins, but when her cabin is ransacked and she finds signs of sorcery, Leonora quickly realizes that someone onboard is not what they seem.
There's the old riverboat captain who watches her, full of unasked questions, and an unrepentant conman who follows her everywhere with greed in his eyes.

Into the Heart of Talis Chronicles of Talis Prequel eBook Antonio Urias
It was intriguing and had a strong hook from the first page. It was like fishing for the big one, but it rambled and twisted its way to the dangerous city. Only to encounter an intensity of more danger and enemies at the place so long desired. A foretaste of mystery, betrayal, murder and sometimes truth in a dangerous place. Great for a getaway read. PG for violence.Product details

Into the Heart of Talis Chronicles of Talis Prequel eBook Antonio Urias Reviews
I received a copy of this little novella that prequels Irons in the Fire for which I wrote a review. This is a short read that sets the storyline of Irons in the Fire. It introduces Leonora, a simple girl with magical abilities. Little does she know, but within her being lies a power far greater than any before her. She travels to the city of Talis. The Captain of the boat, Devos knows there is something amiss about this wayward waif; he cannot understand what. There, also lies within his boat, two others interested in this girl; his protection enhanced, danger felt. Will Leonora make it to Talis? Will she be absconded by devilry and deceit? Will the powers that lie dormant, wreck havoc on everything evil? Only you, fellow readers will find out in this quick, introductory to a novel I've read and reviewed. Find out where Leonora will release the energy she holds within. You too will enjoy this as much as I did.

I received a free copy of this book to review and honestly review.
This novella is a glimpse of The Countess before the events of the series. It's a very good little story. Quite absorbing and gives us a bit of into about The Witches and why they're so hated. I enjoyed it very much.
My review copy had a few editorial mistakes that didn't detract from the story and have been corrected.
If adventure, the kind of excitement and anticipation that makes you hold your breath for a second; then this is the book for you! Very well written. I felt as though I was part of that book; I highly recommend Into The Heart Of Talis.

The Woman is travelling alone. Mysterious and solitary, she attracts the attention of her fellow travellers, but she has the sense that she is being followed - and therein lies her greatest danger, because her true identity is likely to greatly please her enemies...even though they aren't yet certain of who she is.
This is a prequel novella to the Chronicles of Talis series, and gives more hints into the strength and power controlled by the Countess, as well as giving a glimpse into the darkness that surrounds the Witches, and giving an indication of why they were so feared and hated in the past.
There were a few, small errors in the editing, but nothing major, and it certainly didn't detract from the story, which was absorbing, and gave an intriguing glimpse into the Countess' back story - definitely one to follow if you like a slightly darker, yet traditional fantasy tale. Looking forward to the next in the series.
This was a really great opening to the series, the pacing was really good the characters were really likable and I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
